Pitmedden Garden

Pitmedden Garden , Aberdeenshire , harestone moss

This recreated Scottish Renaissance walled garden is full of vibrant colours and over 30000 annual bedding plants that make up colourful designs.

Also home to the museum of farming life , which brings the agricultural past to life.

Pitmedden Garden has the best of both worlds, the formal garden that attracts the pollinators and the woodland and ponds that provide a home for other species. You can enjoy various trails around the estate.

You can join the daily guided heritage tour at 12pm and there are many children’s scavenger trails and events.

In the summer there are many outdoor theatre events to enjoy in this amazing setting.

Enjoy delicious home baking and light lunches in the award-winning tearoom, or visit the shop for a great selection of gifts, as well as seasonal garden produce when available, including their delicious apple juice and jelly.

Mrs Harestone (Laura)

I had lived in the city all my life before moving here, and the first reality to hit me was that I didn't own suitable SHOES! That soon changed, as did my transformation into loving country life and the amazing benefits it brings. For a city girl, to be surrounded by calmness, dark skies, nature, and animals brings such positively and wellbeing. I want to be in this environment all day, every day and move away from the daily grind and the challenges.
